Evolution Academy (Registration)

Evolution Academy is a large school built on a secluded island. Students are brought here from around the world to study. Dorms were constructed on the west side of the school because students will remain at the school for the day they start until the day they graduate. This school is special, for students that are unique and need to develop in an environment that's friendly to them. One weekend a month, students are taken ashore to shop and do whatever else they'd like without any pressures from the school.

But Evolution Academy isn't everything that it may seem. Students aren't invited to the school, they're taken to it by force. Dark suited men and women, called Sweepers, bring unconscious or drugged students to the Academy. The students aren't normal humans. Born to a world that has difficulty accepting its own shortcomings, these children were born with powers only ever imagined. And in recent years, there's been a surge of these children. Within the past two decades, there's been more than three special children discovered in each state when it used to be difficult to find three in an entire country.

Evolution Academy 'collects' them. The school is a front for the organization called Evolution. A group dedicated to discovering the source of these abilities through various tests and experiments. Some of the scientists, who double as teachers in the school, are kinder than others. While other could care less about their subjects well-being.

Name: Kihara and Keith Scott

Ability: Kihara: Telekinesis. Keith: Pyrokenisis. Both: Twin Telepathy.
Personality: Kihara: An outgoing girl who does her best to stay positive in any situation. Keith: More cynical and taciturn than his younger sister, but is caring and protective of her.
History: The Scott twins grew up in an abusive household and form a strong mutual bond. This bond was strengthened when their abilities manifested. Their father forced them to use their Telepathy to perform street tricks (Kihara picks a card and Keith "guesses" what it is) for money, all of which he took. One day a Sweeper oversaw their performance and it wasn't long after that they were on their way to the Academy.
Other: Their telepathic connection runs so deep that they can even feel eachothers pain. Also their powers operate together, meaning that as they get farther apart their powers get weaker until they no longer work at all.

Name: Myst Rider
Age: 24 (claims 18 around other students)
Gender: Female
Appearance: Myst stands at 5'6" with a slim, athletic build and an olive skin tone. Her hair is thick, black, and long enough to reach the middle of her back. It's generally braided, but she may also tie it back into a ponytail as well. Her eyes are large and brown in color, and tend to give her a curious, almost confused expression. She often wears the school's uniform - more because she likes it than any desire to fit in with the student populace - but she also may wear a black tank top with jean shorts.

Abilities:
Toxin - Myst's natural ability allows her to coat her teeth and nails in a powerful paralytic agent that renders the infected completely paralyzed for upwards of fifteen minutes.
Eagle Eyes - More an augmentation than an actual ability, Myst's eyes have been altered to give her above-perfect vision, allowing her to accurately pinpoint individual objects from 250 feet away.
Catlike Reflexes - Another augmentation, Myst has been given enhanced agility and reflexes.

Personality: In the halls of Evolution Academy, Myst plays dumb. Blissful, curious and carefree in nature, she doesn't speak much, and when she does it's in phrases of three or four words that may come off as nonsensical to some. However, her harmless nature is little more than an act she's come up with to keep the students from suspecting anything. In reality, Myst is cunning, immensely intelligent, and a natural liar. She knows her job in Evolution and will stop at nothing to complete her duties.

History: Myst's life up until her years at Evolution Academy was no different than that of any other "special" child born with superhuman abilities. She discovered hers in the first grade, during an incident in which she found herself harassed by a group of bullies. A scratch across the leader's face on the young Myst's part rendered the boy stiff and helpless for ten minutes. The teachers thought nothing of it, but the incident intrigued Myst greatly. She started practicing with it on rodents and creatures she found in her yard, and realized that she could create this special paralytic toxin at will. As her expertise with her special power grew, so did her intellect. Throughout her years she was notorious for getting top marks in several of her classes, even getting herself in the running for some of her area's most prestigious secondary schools.
However, she never got the chance to apply for, much less attend any of them, because Evolution got to her first. The two Sweepers that came after her cornered her behind a mini-mart and tried to capture her, only to be bitten and paralyzed. Another one came in after that and was met with the same fate. Ultimately, it took six Sweepers to finally overwhelm and capture her, and she was shipped off to Evolution Academy bound, gagged and unconscious.
As reluctant as she was to start her new life after such a rough beginning, she settled in quickly and went back to her normal behavior of passing every test given to her with flying colors. This, combined with her unique ability, greatly intrigued the staff of Evolution, and when Myst entered her third year of school, she was taken down to the lower levels of the institution, and her new life began as a spy within the academy's walls and a Sweeper-in-training.

Such is the life she has grown used to. She now wanders the halls of Evolution Academy at her own free will, keeping an eye on the students and making sure everything stays in order, while at the same time training to capture new students to add to the fold.

Name: Maria Savette

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Maria is a short, blue eyed girl with long blonde hair that is usualy either tied into twin tails or left to hang down naturaly. She prefers to dress in the gothic lolita style and has nothing but contempt for the academy's uniform, even going so far as to refuse to wear it.

Ability: Maria is able to condense the moisture in the surrounding air in order to create ice. She can create whatever shape she wishes, limited only by her imagination and the amount of moisture in the air. She can also control her ice constructs, moving or progecting them through the air.

Personality: Maria prefers to be the silent observer in any given situation, content to watch from the sidelines rather than getting directly involved. For this reason, she shows an intense interest in everything that goes on around her

History: Maria was born into a rich, influential family and, wishing to get away from family politics, she would always go on long walks around the city she lived in. One day, while on a walk, she met a homeless boy and took pity on him. She recognised, in him, the same loneliness that she felt, even if the cause was different. She continued sneaking away from her family estate to meet with him and eventualy her pity changed into genuine affection. One day, during one of their meetings, the boy revealed that he had an abnormal ability. The sudden realisation that such abilities existed caused her own dormant ability, which she had been unconsciously suppressing, to begin awakening. She never got to see the boy again, however, as the next time she went to their meeting place, he wasn't there. For the next few weeks she continued going to their meeting place each day, but he never showed up. She even asked around the city but her friend seemed to have dissapeared with out a trace. Having lost her friend, she became depressed and would spend most of her time locked up in her room. It was during these months of self-enforced exile that her ability fully awakened. One day she recieved a letter from someone claiming to be her friend, asking to meet up at their place on a certain date. The day came and she snuck out of the estate and made her way, eagerly to the meeting place. When she arrived, however, she was grabbed by a strange man and dragged into a black van. The kidnapper was a sweeper, who brought her to the academy.

Other: Her ability suffers in dry atmospheres where there is a great deal of heat. She refuses to wear the academy's uniform, instead wearing her own gothic lolita clothing.

Name: Alysia Incarnadine
Age: 14

Appearance:Deep blue eyes, sliver-blue hair that is fairly long (about the waist) and straight, short in terms of height, loli-esque physique, pale skin, always has the necklace with the golden hammer charm on her at all times

Personality:Reserved, shy, a kind person those she is close to
History:Test Subject A, or Alysia, is an artificial human created in a place called Incarnadine, a scientific facility in an unknown area dedicated to creating an artificial human with an ability for military purposes. Applying all they knew about humans and the newfound abilities and the many years they spent researching, they were finally able to create a human with an ability that they could control. The original group, Test Subjects 1 and 2 could not control the ability they were forced to have and accidentally killed themselves in the first few years of life. Test Subjects A, B, and C, the second set, were able to control their abilities better than that the first group. A had tests performed on her since birth, many of them painful and performed in non-sterile conditions. She was able to withstand the mental and physical torture thanks to the closeness she had developed with Test Subject B, named Barium by same scientist that named Alysia for his ability to manipulate metals. In her tenth year of life, Alysia was brought to be tested right after Barium. She was told to watch the test in progress only to bear witness to Barium stabbing himself through the heart with a metal spike. While the scientists just regarded this as a failure due to losing control of his power, Barium’s death took its toll on Alysia, causing her to no longer speak to anyone she was not close too. One day, an electrical storm wiped out the facility’s generators. In order to continue their research on Test Subject A, they send her to the best known group that deals with humans with abilities, Evolution Academy, where they can continue to monitor her growth and the development of her ability. Alysia was given the last name Incarnadine to claim “ownership” of the Homunculus.
Other:She has a deathly fear of a person in a lab coat which leads her to obey the person without question and a not as intense fear of needles. This is all due to the many painful tests the scientists at Incarnadine performed on her. She doesn’t speak to anyone she isn’t close too.

Name: Luna
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Ability:
--Portals: Luna can create portals to the in-between, a world between the subconscious world and reality. Luna's in-between is a simple world, with a grassy meadow and white trees with glowing jewels as "fruit". Any flowers that appear there have petals made of jewels. She can also use her portals to travel short distances in the real world (a mile at most). Despite this being Luna's special ability, it depletes her energy quickly, resulting in her being unable to use it too often.
--Agility and Dexterity: Luna may be small and weak, but she is swift. She can easily run through the forest without tripping and hurting herself. Having a small build, she can easily dodge things such as projectiles.
Personality: Luna is delicate, refined and extremely shy. She speaks only when she absolutely has to, and spends most of her time alone.
All in all, she's actually a very kind person, but refuses to open up and let herself get close to people.
History: She doesn't remember anything, but she has a fondness of trees and sewing... Luna doesn't care much for her past, though, because it pains her to even try to remember.
Other: Her silver eye is blind. She has light blue blood, which intrigues the scientists...

Name: Lopal Hios
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Brown hair, reaches his shoulders in the back, but barely covers his forehead from the front, is usually unkempt. Dark blue eyes. Usually wears the same tattered pair of jeans and white t-shirt, sometimes with a black hooded jacket, but has been seen on one occasion to have worn a suit.
Ability: Pyrokinesis
Personality and History: Lopal lived in fear of his own ability and tried to hide it when he discovered it at the age of 10, scared that should someone uncover this secret, he would be labeled as an outcast. Eventually, curiosity of this power grew, and he began to practice using it when he was alone at home, as both of his parents worked. However, one day, at the age of 15, he was caught in the act of conjuring a flame from his hand by his parents. Afraid of what he might be capable of, they had him sent away, successfully making his nightmare a reality. Alone in a city with nothing but the clothes on his back, Lopal became reclusive, and almost misanthropic, wandering the outskirts of the city. One day though, he met a girl. She managed to befriend him after weeks of visiting, and with even more time, Lopal revealed his ability to her. She was shocked, but also intrigued, wanting to learn more about Lopal's power. She never got that chance, as that night, Lopal was abducted by the sweepers. Now five months since "joining" the academy, Lopal is cold and distant from his fellow students, and even more so to his teachers. To have been separated from the only person Lopal called a friend proved to severely impact him emotionally, and the method in which he was brought into the academy has left him paranoid.
Other: Lopal is still reluctant to use his powers, and when he does it will usually be for minuscule tasks that can be easily hidden, such as warming his drink. He also has a "weakness" for soft or furry things.

Name: Rex Ventus
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: He stands at a tall six and one-half feet boasting a mixture between a lanky and athletic build. he has short and extremely spiked snow-white hair that has a long section at the base of his neck that he ties in a short spiky ponytail. His left eye is dark blue while his right is a bright almost neon yellow. No matter the temperature he wears a dark blue A-shirt(guy's tank top), black shorts and bright blue sneakers.
Ability: Wind manipulation:Rex can is able to shape and compress wind as well as direct its flow.
Self-Elemnetizing: Rex can transform part of his body into wind, and can turn his full body into wind although it takes a fully relaxed almost zen like state and currently the full transformation takes too much time to be efficient for combat.
Personality:He is a rough individual, but towards those he trust he let's out a bit of his softer, acting just a bit nice but no one has really work there way past his thick skin to the point to see where his soft side goes from there. Towards most of the staff he is a disrespectful punk who spares no illusion he is angry over being forced to be at the academy.
History:He lived with a group of orphans on the street till his early mid-teenage years when their shack near the outskirts of his home town caught fire due to a random passer by's haphazardly thrown cigarette. All of them minus Rex died in the fire who arrived an hour later after a long day of doing odd jobs for a local store owner. He tried to put out the flames with the only thing around, a large blanket. After almost and hour of failure he yelled out cursing fate when he smashed at the ground in one last scream of curses words with his tears streaming from his eye. After that great strike a mighty gust extinguished the flames and sent any loose debris got sent flying . After repeating the phenomenon he made an attempted to use his powers to become a sort of comic book esque hero for the city.....but it blew up in his face, sure he stopped a good amount of crimes but that wouldn't stop the sweepers from going after him. He did well for a kid avoiding the attempts of his capture;especially after he gained his ability to turn into the wind, but they finally captured him by using his heroic tendency against him slapping a metal shock collar around his neck that would shock him when he either attempted to transform the area near his neck into wind, a sweeper activates it remotely(there is only two of the remotes), or if he leaves a 'safe' area the academy set for him.
Other:He absolutely hates smoking of any type due to his past so he will blast away the cigar,cigarette,etc that he sees.
